Schools

The Bartow County School District is a great school system for your children to attend! With options for taking advanced placement classes for college credit, to a wonderful graduation rate, you can rest easy knowing your kids are getting a quality education. There are also some good options for nearby higher or continuing education. You can check out Georgia Highlands College in Cartersville, Chattahoochee Technical College, with locations throughout North Georgia, and Reinhardt University in Waleska.

Cities of Bartow County

Bartow is home to several cities, including Cartersville, Adairsville, Emerson, Euharlee, Kingston, and White. Cartersville, the county seat, has the slogan “Be Charmed. Be Prosperous. Belong.” Located about 45 miles north of Atlanta in the rolling North Georgia hills, this vibrant community is home to several historic sites, museums, and points of interest, including the Booth Western Art Museum, Etowah Indian Mounds Historic Site, and more.

Adairsville, like most cities in the county, is a small and charming southern city, with plenty of history! The entire county, including the cities of Cartersville, Adairsville, Emerson, Euharlee, Kingston, and White, are steeped in history, from Native American sites and artifacts, to Antebellum photographs and Civil War history, your new home has a fascinating past!

Bartow’s local newspaper is The Daily Tribune News, and you can find information about the library system at the Bartow County Library System website. At the county’s many local parks and facilities, you can also enjoy hiking trails, beautiful scenery, camping, and more!

Bartow offers residents plenty of high quality emergency services, including the Bartow County Fire Department, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bartow County Health Department. The local hospital is Cartersville Medical Center.
