Early Spring at Gibbs Gardens
If you’ve never been to Gibbs Gardens in North Georgia during the Spring, you’re in for a treat! Starting in early March, fields with thousands of daffodils bloom with beautiful colors, and cherry trees start to blossom. The sprawling gardens feature 24 ponds, 32 bridges, and 19 waterfalls. Enjoy a beautiful spring day wandering the garden with friends and family, or visit alone for a serene stroll!
Cherry Blossom Festival
Just a short drive from North Georgia is the city of Macon, where each year the International Cherry Blossom Festival takes place. The small city’s downtown area features gorgeous cherry blossom trees that are in peak bloom during the festival. Lasting several days in mid-March, the city hosts a fair complete with rides and games, nightly concerts, a frenzy of food trucks, and much more!
Scenic Spring Trails
Spring in the mountains is an event in itself! With beautiful blooming flowers, bushes, and trees, taking a hike in North Georgia is a great way to enjoy the weather this Spring! The Benton MacKaye Trail has some of the most gorgeous views, and crosses the Appalachian Trail, so you can plan out the path you want to take.
